Job Statement

We are hiring a qualified Bursar for overseeing our daily financial operations such as the management of accounts payable/receivable and the collection of tuition fees.

What does a Bursar do?

You will manage our budget, set up our financial processes and regulations, and clear payments for supplies. You will be also managing general financial administrative tasks (e.g. contacting local authorities, ensuring compliance with the law and managing employment contracts). Your ultimate goal would be to streamline our school’s financial and general operational management.

In order to succeed in this role, you must be able to work independently and effectively execute various tasks at a single time. 

Job Requirements

  • At least a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field
  • Professional certification related to School Administration
  • Prior experience as a Bursar
  • Experience with cash flow management and budget preparation
  • Experience of working with accounting and database software, especially MS Excel
  • Sound knowledge of all accounting processes
  • Experience of creating presentations and reports
  • Ability to multitask while working independently
  • Strong communication skills and a keen eye for details
  • An analytical mind with a problem-solving attitude
