  • Familiarity with prototyping and testing
  • Flair for color, spacing, patterns, and typography
  • Ability to communicate with clients, UX designers, developers, and others

What a day in the life of a UI Designer will look like?

  • Sketch and storyboard user flows to optimize key interactions 
  • Expertise in HTML5, CSS/SaSS (Syntactically Awesome StyleSheets), and template engines
  • Prior experience with client-side Javascript and screen-level event AJAX interaction
  • Hands-on with server-side javascript stacks/ frameworks including Node.js, Express.js
  • Leverage data and research to become an expert in searching and user behavior
  • Liaison with product and design teams to develop new or improved user experiences
  • Work with Design Director to craft the user experience across the entire website including both Desktop and Mobile Web
  • Develop pixel-perfect design comps
  • Interact with engineers to make sure designs result in pixel-perfect code
  • Conceptualize creative new ways to improve the user experience
